The Chinese tech giants Xiaomi is all set to launch its next flagship smartphones the Mi5S and Mi5S Plus in Beijing. According to Lei Jun who is the CEO and Founder of Xiaomi, the new handsets, are in power with its rival products made by Samsung and Apple.
Mi5s comes at a cheaper price and is smaller when compared to Mi5s Plus. Both the devices will differ in their internal and external specifications. Xiaomi is all set to begin their pre-sales for both the devices on Thursday, Sept-29th, in China.
Both the variants have a new feature i.e. an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor , this is reported to provide a quicker and a more accurate scan even when your finger is covered in moisture–thus providing an additional benefit, as the current fingerprint sensors have an issues with it. This was made possible, thanks to the Qualcomm’s “Snapdragon Sense ID” tech that uses ultrasonic waves to read ones fingerprint in a 3D mapping, which should be much more accurate.
TheXiaomi Mi5s and Mi5s Plus sports a camera upgrade with UltraPixel technology that is seen in the most recent HTC One. With this feature the image quality shall be better and superior pictures can be taken even in dim light. The Mi5s Plus has two 12MP sensors, which is quite rare, while the Mi5s has just one 12MP sensor, yet they both include dual LED flash. The Xiaomi phones are available in stylish colors like Gray, Gold, Silver, or Rose Gold.
Some of the features found in Xiaomi Mi5s Plus is its 5.7 inch display. It runs on Android Operating System version-6.0 (Marshmallow).The smartphone includes a 64-GB (with 4GB RAM) and a 128-GB (with 6GB RAM) internal storage. One of the down sides is, that it’s not expandable
Now talking about the Xiaomi Mi5s, it comes with a 5.15 display, which is pretty good for a smartphone. Similar to the Mi5s Plus versions, this also runs on the same OS. It has 2 variants, one is the 64 GB storage with 3GB RAM and the other is 128 GB with 4GB RAM. As stated above it is non-expandable.
